Financial Assistance

Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Downtown Berkeley YMCA is able to award need-based financial assistance to those who qualify. Pick up an application at the Member Services Desk or download and print one out here:

• Financial Assistance Form, Adult/Teen Membership
• Financial Assistance Form, Youth/Teen Programs (swimming lessons, sports programs, camp, etc.)

Applications for financial assistance are reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee each month according to the application schedule. Drop your application in the Financial Assistance box in the lobby, or mail to:

Award letters are mailed out around the 20th and the 5th of the month. Once you receive your letter, bring it to the Member Services Desk when you come to enroll. Members who receive a financial assistance award do not have to pay the enrollment fee, but do need to pay their last month's dues in advance.
