The YMCA is committed to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities by providing safe places, caring and trained staff and programs that improve the lives of children and their families. But sometimes families cannot afford to join the YMCA community and participate in these life-enhancing programs. Contributions to the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign help ensure that no child or family is turned away from YMCA programs because of the inability to pay. Each year, with funds raised through the Strong Kids Campaign the YMCA provides more than $300,000 in financial assistance and scholarships to hundreds of local youth and families in need. In these tough economic times, requests for aid are rising to unprecedented levels. By participating in the Strong Kids Campaign we can work together to make a real difference in the lives of those in our community who need our help the most.
